Right so I ordered a 920 for my shiney new i5 running at 4.6. I ahve two Akasa Viper fans in the case as front intakes, though the CM silencio has very little air flow.

Can I/Should I put the two vipers on the 920? And revert to the stock cas efans for intakes or use the antec supplied fans for intakes?

Will the vipers work fine on a 920. I knwo they have a lower max rpm than the ones antec supply. My only concern ebing that the 920 has software with it and if I change the fans the software might be expecting hgiher rpm?

The software should work fine with any PWM fans. It will read the RPM correctly. I had two Coolink SWiF-120P on mine and the ChillControl functionality was still there. The only thing that won't be correct is the noise reading as I imagine that's pre-calibrated to the Antec fans.

Hard to say as I've never used the Vipers but the Antec ones are loud at full speed. For a given RPM, I imagine performance would be similar.

I have a diff fan on mine then the antec one and no problems...
Gl trying to get 2 on it though no screws i have fit and I have alor of long wc type screws!

no idea mate, Just wanted to let you know that there's not much extra room on the bolts.

Just fitted mine a few days ago and would be interested to find out if we can fit other fans that are as effective but less noisy :)

Vipers are loud once they go above 1500 rpm, ive just calibrated mine using asus ai suite's fan expert, anything below 1500 and theyre barely audible.

Hows this going then Welshy?

Really good. Cooler came today and fitted and it is whisper quiet! I stuck the vipers on it and set the target temp to 60 and the fan speed target to 5 and literally you cannot hear it. HW monitor reporting the fans at 600 rpm. Oh yeah I've clocked it to 4.8 and idel as I type this is 40 (keep in mind the airflow/intake on my case is rubbish). Going to install the fan control software that came with it next and have a butchers. So far very very impressed.

Also the vipers fit fine. Looking at it and the screws you get you shouldn't have a problem with any fan. I had 8 screws with mine.

Nice, do you have a nice clear picture?
