have frogs become extinct?

i have not seen a frog for maybe 5 years , where have they all gone , when was the last time you seen a frog.

i guess i need to build a pond,but ive never had a pond years ago and there were loads of frogs just apearing soon as i stepped outside.

Two possibilities, there are less frogs now or as you have grown up you spend less time rummaging about looking for stuff like frogs

I have plenty of frogs in our small rockery pond, no idea how they got there though, the local river is quarter mile away...

My cat forages for frogs in one of our garden bushes. Regularly finds 1-2 a night.

I was at Lochore Meadows about a month ago and all round the loch there were thousands of little brown frogs.

They were all in the hedge and lots on the path too. It took us a while to notice them as they were so small and there were loads squashed all over the path. We had to tippy toe around them after that. Made for some slow walking!

A week later we went to Town Hill Loch and we saw thousands in one hedge of a similar type. There were so many the hedge was literally infested with them and they were all climbing on top of each other.
