Gone from 2.8GHZ to 3.081ghz. Vcore at 1.456
Had to down clock the ram, but according to windows experience, my timings is slower, yet CPU-Z show 6-6-6-15 as oppose to 9-9-9-20. No idea what Ram timings mean, any ideas?

Specs on what you have overclocked?

AMD X2 240 2.8GHZ @ 3.081 with Cooler Master Hyper TX3
Asus M4A78LT-M LE
MSI cyclone 768MB @941/2031 (Was 727/1800mhz)
OCZ Gold 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-10666C9 1333MHz
OCZ Z-Series 850W '80 Plus Gold' Power Supply

Some times ram won't run at the higher speeds needed when u clock the processor

Try upping the voltage of the memory it may need to be raised a little to run at higher speeds

It's all trial and error

It depends on what CPU you have got and how you are overclocking.

He put his spec here.

Why don't people just give him some tips instead of giving him a hard time?

Lee, find the divider that sets your ram at it's default speeds or lower and clock the cpu as far as possible, once you have found a stable cpu clock, you can work on overclocking the ram. As long as your ram speeds are at defaults or lower then any Prime 95 errors can confidently be attributed to the cpu, if you clock ram and cpu together then it's difficult to know which is causing any errors that may occur when stress testing. Also set vdimm (ram voltage) to recommended levels indicated on the sticks themselves by the manufacturers.

Thanks smith, sometimes it does seem I annoy people. So far I've managed to squeeze a decent OC from a rubbish chip. Two screenies for you, let me know if it looks ok
