Hi there,
Lost my iPhone 4 headset and really don't want to pay apple's stupid prices for a replacement, had a quick google but they all seem to be cheap knock off's which I don't want. So does anyone know where I can get a genuine replacement for a decent price?

I've got the Sennheiser CX 400 II - integrated volume control which I find useful. Much better than the ones that came with my iPod.

As others have mentioned forget about getting replacement apple earphones.

I have had the Sennheiser CX 500's for the past 2 years and they are brilliant, much better then the apple earphones.

I paid £40 for them but I have noticed there are a lot of places selling them cheaper now. I think they could be fakes though.

Hi, thanks for all the replies - should have added that I wanted the built in mic and volume control, as I use this often - the sony ones I linked in post 3 came today and are very very good, hearing parts of songs I never used to be able to + people asking if I have changed phone as they can hear me much better haha, I highly recommend them for anyone needing a reasonably priced headset replacement which has volume control and mic :)

I used mine for the first time the other day when my bluetooth headset went on the blink.

They're terrible, just as bad as the ones that shipped with my iPod 3G many many years ago.

Now where did I leave my Sennheisers...

Agree with above, they really are awful and I always see/HEAR people with them on the bus, they leak so much sound :(

I would take the chance to upgrade to a decent pair of headphones, can get them with the integrated mic/button too.

Could not believe how bad the earphones that came with my iPhone 4 were. Seemed even worse than previous apple ones. Even my cheapo phillips sports ones are miles better, let alone my lovely Sennheiser HD-25s. Shame I look a complete **** walking down the street with big headphones on :p

Sennheiser MM70 here. Very pleased with them. In ear goodness with all the functionality of the apple ones - mic, buttons etc. They're not even that good in comparison to nice over-ear ones, but they basically give you an eargasm in comparison to the Apple ones.

I cannot stress enough how shocking the offical apple ones are!
In the last 6 months I must have gone through over 3 or 4 sets as they always seem to break by one side losing sound/getting quieter than the other side
I read it was due to poor wiring or something, but if thats the case why the hell are they so expensive if they break that easily?

That's apple for you :p

I have the CX300 and they're excellent, so I'm going to assume the II's are even better. You can't go wrong with these.

I've got both. Lost my CX300 so I bought a pair of the IIs to replace them ... then then promptly found the lost ones.

The IIs are better, but not enough to make it worth an upgrade.

My Sennheiser £6 replacements from hmv were on a par if not better than the standard ones but they are black so may be no good if you want white.
