2011 A level results day thread

Don't know why Track is now being useless (glad it let me on earlier tbh :p). It's gone 8, damn it!

Anyway, best of luck everyone getting their results today.
 
Good luck to everyone collecting their results today! It was 4 years ago for me which is pretty scary enjoy University... its over before it starts!
 
Good luck to everyone awaiting results today.

Everyone will tell you it isn't the end of the world if you don't quite make it, it really isn't. Worst case scenario is that you pay more fees.

To the rest, have fun at uni. :)
 
I got bad a level results years ago including a d in physics. Miraculously I got in to my chosen uni for physics and came out with a 2.1. Went on and did an msc at the University of Birmingham and got a merit.

So whilst you can redeem yourself over bad a level grades, I still got asked about them in ALL my job interviews. Just be sure you have a good answer! I was just honest.
 
Good luck everyone, in some ways seems like yesterday but also (it was) a long time since this day came up for me.


Oh and for those going to uni.....please please please PLEASE do a proper degree and make it worth the effort so you can get a decent job and not just get saddled with a load of debt ending up as an admin assistant since your degree is worth diddly squat.
 
Very High A electronics, Mid A Maths, Mid B physics.
I am really unsure whether Universities will like this as they want an A in physics but I have an incredibly high Ums in electronics so I guess it will make some of it up.

My gf's mum helps run the UCAS hotline, they are really helpful so if you don't know what to do I advise you give them a call : 0808 100 8000

Also remember university is not the be-all and end-all. I used my A-Levels (BDD) to get onto a decent scheme with a well paid job at the end in an awesome company and the lulz is I get promoted faster than graduates that join the company at the same time :D

Very pleased, was so unsure that I'd get in!

Awesome! That's what I want to do, hopefully they are nice and will give me an offer even though I only have a B in physics. Do you know anyone who got an offer with AAB at As?
I can probably still get an A if I retake the last module, it's not much too much pressure as I have other universities who will let me in with a B if I get an A* in Electronics which I am predicted.
