Soo... didn't see a thread for this. Sorry if there is one already :p

Far Cry 3 is one of my most anticipated games on the horizen, landing 2012 apparently, and I'm not entirely sure why given how dissapoint I was with 2. I read a bit in Edge magazine on a flight a while ago which got my interest, how the developer was talking seems promising, but who knows! Far Cry was/is one of my favourite games of all time if a little flawed, 2 was close but no cigar. 3rd time lucky?

Console footage? (Press Start on title screen?) All I could find :/

Survival FPS on a gorgeous tropical island, bring it on!

Erm, is this only me or is there a mini map on the bottom left corner and you get points for killing someone in single player. What in the ****'s name were they thinking.

Ohhh Ubisoft, you never learn do you...

Now that's something I'm really looking forward to. Looks just my sort of game. I always liked FarCry, and (don't laugh) especially FarCry 2. I enjoyed every minute of that.
Of course it all hinges on the DRM they're going to use. I've not bought any of their always-on-line DRM titles, although I'd have given them my money like a shot otherwise. Hopefully this will be different, but I'm not holding my breath.

Looks nice, I'll likely get it even if its just to enjoy the scenery. Shame it is no doubt going to have horrific DRM.

Simple solution to avoiding the crappy DRM - pirate it.

Bonkers that Ubi are driving people into the arms of piracy. I flat, as a rule boycott all their games now. (I don't pirate them either in case anyone is wondering)

That's the amusing thing. As companies make it more difficult to enjoy a game due to extra drm and such they're more likely to pirate. Compare to Steam that locks the game to you, but makes it worthwhile due to lots of other benefits...
