Ugliest car ever?

Renault Modus

The new Vauxhall meriva side profile mings a bit, as said above though, early multipla and SSangyong Rodeo, and Daewoo Tacuma (based on the renault scenic).

Multipla for definate. The designer of the front end must have taken inspiration from his/her rolls of fat from their body. What he/she didn't realise is that they are actually overweight and it looks disgusting on a car.

I'm not sure if I would necessarily consider it the ugliest car ever, but the the AMC Pacer was pretty damn ugly as it goes.

...yet the good 'ol Americans still managed to put a 5 litre V8 in it :D ...naturally, it was meant to be a cheap compact car!

The 5 Series GT.

Seriously? This is your ugliest car ever?

I'll tell you this much - large BMWs rarely become classics - regular E12s, not particularly valued among collectors, E28s - you'll never find them in retro film rental catalogues, E34s, were usually let to rot and are rarely being restored, E39 might be collectable in only one trim, as the rest look like overweight whale, E60 will be hated on classic scene. F10 has no classic aestethics at all. But F07. The 5 series GT. That thing is a bit blah now, but has all elements required to be timeless collectable classic.

My nomination, in addition to the cars already mentioned, would almost any car from 1981-1985 era. For some reason, just about any manufacturer on the planet at the time, after a decade of fantastic looking sport cars, coupes and muscle cars decided to make something resembling squashed flat pack version of FSO Polonez, just look at this Celica RA60 here. After RA22, RA28 and RA40, this thing was just sacrilege.

From the rear, certainly. To me, its horrible. until the 5GT was launched mind, I'd have put an early e65 in #1

Some odd views becoming apparant in this thread.

I can understand liking or disliking the 5GT but 'future classic' or 'ugliest car ever created'? Can't fathom those views :p
