What i wonder is if Gaddafi actually has a nuclear weapon...im sure he would use it as leverage and if not, simply destroy the city and a bunch of rebels.

1. we are already overstreched with two opertations
2. we dont have backing from arab league
3. no NATO resolution
4. Libya had full scale revolution where syria has just protestors
5. Syria would take a lot more military effort than libya
6. we are probably very reluctant to be seen fighting in another muslim country

Hardly any oil in Syria, plus there's no mass-immigration issues (Libya is just across the Mediterranean Sea from Europe, and a massive immigration route)
