Just a quick update.....

Gj when you hit the bottom it can be hard to get back up, I think we've all been there at least once....enjoy the remainder of uni and studying but it sounds like your doing alright.

Just remember your future will be finitely better then it was a couple of months ago regardless of what you walk away from uni with.

Thanks for the recognition, sage words about the future. I'm still trying to foster interest in various matters. The army for example, I'm still keen on trying to join, but I'm starting to question whether or not I'm capable enough!

Trying times, hopefully something I can translate into exciting and rewarding times.

Damn.

Bloody student advise centre gave me botched advice. Got 2 additional modules to prepare for by the 1st of september. Don't know the first thing about them.

Going to need some learning tips here guys, as the books run into 1200 pages total and I just don't have the time to process all.

Where have these additional modules come from? Im assuming its for a class you didn't take? Get in contact with the lecturers for each of the modules and get the lecture notes, see if they can recommend a student in their classes who would have good notes or whom you can ask a few questions of apart from them.

See this as a test, don't be quitting or faltering now, you've worked too hard to let things slip, keep at it.

Keep up the good work

Awesome dude :D Keep @ it and it will deliver results. Might seem small now but I personally believe if you put in the effort good things await!

I want to basically do exactly what you've done. I need to pull my finger out when it comes to school work and I need to get fitter. I realised I've not really fulfilled my academic potential and going into my last year of Sixth form I want to get the grades I know I can get if I actually put in the effort and actually revise for exams! Spent too much time coasting along and doing the bare minimum and never really had that shock since I've been able to get decent (Albeit not great) grades on the most part and since I'm warming to the idea of going to Uni I want to have a choice (Not much of a choice these days with how many people are applying!) of what Uni's I can go to instead of going to the ones that'll accept the decent or average grades. As for getting fitter I'll be honest, I'm bit embarressed about going to the gym, I'm not fat or anything but I'm not exactly muscle man :p.

Without sounding like a lecturing old man, you've got the immediate advantage of age of me. Sounds like you're maturing up quicker than me already.

To bring attention about being embarrased, whilst my words won't make the blindest bit of difference, all I can say is, that after 21 years of life on this planet, inhibition is one of the things I wish I had gotten rid of earlier.

Who cares what you look like? It's not like you're going to be stripping full monty style! Get in there and do what YOU want. Throwing yourself out of your comfort zone a few times and you'll really see how empowering it is.

:)
