Razer sez: PC gaming is not dead

How very interesting.

How sweet would it be if it is an OS :p

I think the switchblade is quite likely. An interesting design, certainly the best looking portable ever but I bet it is priced at something silly where you could buy a laptop with the same money.

How is the switchblade going to work with mouse controls? Presumably it's just a tiny laptop and you'll use a mouse?

Edit: Yeah, it will. I love that keyboard! If it's reasonably priced I'd get one.

All this talk of the atom processor, does it have integrated graphics? I don't know much about the atom though, so it may. I'm guessing so since they didn't mention anything about AMD/Nvidia. But that also means the games list is going to be very restricted? Plus that's an OLED keyboard along the lines of the Optimus Maximus, and that costs ~£1200 for a full keyboard. This has half the keys, but also has the touchscreen plus all the hardware as well. I can't see this being at all feasable as a gaming platform. For the price you'd be better off getting a gaming laptop. sure it'll be heavier to carry around, but you'd have so much more freedom with it.

The future of PC gaming is playing on a tiny monitor, on a machine with less power than the next generation of consoles, and without have an ethernet port (it's got 3G instead woooooo....).

Riiight.

They should have just made a standalone OLED keyboard, made it reasonably priced and watch the money roll in.

The keyboard is much much cheaper than Optimus.

It's not single LCDs per key (Optimus style). It's quite smart in that it's one large LCD with the keys overlayed and sections changed as required. Quite a good idea to be honest. No more expensive than an LCD screen on it's own, likely not even a super high quality panel as IQ is less of an importance just for digital key cap display.

I'm sure it's less powerful than the "current" generation of consoles :p

yoiu guys are missing the point though, its not meant to play the latest games. have you seen the front end? it appears you have to buy the games designed for it from an e-shop. you cant simply attempt to stick quake 4 on it for example hence the no mouse... bc you wont be needing it.
