Well I did see it coming but I'm slowly filling up with anger.
Back story -
About 2 years ago my eldest daughter fell in love with a bloke who had his own house, car, guitar collection and iPhone but a few months later his world came crashing down and he lost everything.
She asked if we could take him in while he got on his feet and it was about 15 months later when he finally got a permanent job.
Twice during the stay my daughter kicked him out because he's a nasty drunk but we foolishly let him back.
On may 5th he started his new job with Mrs Dimple doing his sandwiches every day and I told him he had now got 2 months to find his own flat.
That got extended because the broke down car he had in our drive for all that time needed fixing.
Also bare in mind that this bloke has never paid one penny in rent and has never offered to do anything for us.

About 1 hour ago Mrs Dimple siad she didn't know how to tell me this but had I noticed that Liam wasn't around.
Me being Mr Observant hadn't noticed and I wish she had told me lies about his departure.
Apparently the **** had planned his scum departure by waiting for me and Mrs Dimple to be out of the house and then for him and my daughter to go clubbing.
When they got to the club they find their friends and my eldest noticed he was missing but after texting him she believed he was around somewhere.
At the end of the night he wouldn't reply and when she got home he had emptied the room of all his stuff.
What a complete low life piece of scum.

So here I am filling up with hate so do I take it up the botty or is revenge sweet?

What would you do for revenge that wouldn't possibly land you in trouble? Either way lessons learnt.

Not to sound like a nob but maybe this is the best thing for your daughter, if he is as you said a nasty drunk.
Couldn't your sue him for something, short of that post his address I'm sure the OcUK hive mind could have somefun with it....

Well you'd have to find him first to do any of those in your title.

a bloke who had his own house, car, guitar collection and iPhone but a few months later his world came crashing down and he lost everything.

If he was successful and had a good life maybe he's too ashamed of who he's become and felt it would be best to leave with making a fuss about it all.

So he finally left in the middle of the night without you noticing.

Sounds like a win-win?

Ok so he ran out on your daughter, and didnt even say thanks fr all the help you had provided, but on the plus side, you say he is a nasty drunk, now he is gone.
Your daughter will be much better off.

Don't take in stray people unless you know them far far better. You do not get rewarded for charity in my experience.

You wouldn't take in a stray dog and just expect it to behave, people are no different.

Considering he hasn't offered any money or a thank you so far, i doubt you saw one coming.

I think he has saved you a lot of bother.

I was expecting him to have emptied your house to be honest.

Probably the best reply.
The 1st time he got drunk he took it out on my youngest daughter and my eldest kicked him out.
She then pleaded so we had him back and he did it again but this time picking on my eldest (his girlfriend) - oh and both times were in a Club in front of friends.
She kicked him out again and we said he wasn't coming back but a month later he was back in again and I had a talk to him about having one too many because nobody likes nasty drunks.
I know that leopards don't change their spots and my daughter is well out of it.

Find him, and rape him with a guitar.

Not a freshly stringed one, mind you. One that's sat unused for 7 months and built up a nice load of crusty deposited crud.
