2: The device has been rooted and they are now in the process of porting.

I wasn't talking about Android. I was pointing out that if it doesn't come, it will be a pretty much completely useless device.
Not really, you can already put ubuntu on it with a bit of modding and ubuntu is far from useless.
At the moment the device is still a bargain for it's price, webos is fairly crap but you can already put on ubuntu on it and do some fairly cool stuff. The only problem is that some ubuntu applications won't run on arm, the browsers run fine such as chromium/firefox, at this current price it is an absolute steal.

It's not like it'll suddenly stop working just because the device is discontinued. You'll still be able to browse web pages, check emails and all that stuff.
Yes, but there will be no decent apps.
How many times has it been said? Devs are working on port and will probably be seen in next few weeks.
