There will always be idiots on forums who are against the game being a success. Thats no reason not to buy it. Do you think the people who want it to succeed are on the forums? no, they are busy playing the beta, and those not in the beta can't realy give a valid opinion of the game.

It would be silly to not buy the game over just what some people have said on the forums. People who want to complain will always find something to complain about, but the people who like the game rarely voice who great it is.

I don't think he's saying people shouldn't buy it, his suggestion is to those who are slagging the game off on forums. Instead of trying to argue about it being rubbish before it's even out, why not just save yourself the money and not bother with it at all if that's how you feel?
 
I think it's just that a lot of people have a very definite idea of what they want their perfect Star Wars mmo to be like, and what they're seeing obviously isn't it.
 
Some how I seem to have pre-order the digital deluxe edition! :)

Have people decided what class/side they going to play? Thinking a Sith Inquisitor or Jedi Consular. Does the game have a duel spec option, so I can have a solo spec then switch to healing for instances?

think the devs said no to duel spec option, but that could change I guess when the subs get real low :D
 
No dual spec ain't a big deal to me. Played many MMO's before it was recently implemented in WoW.

With companions, rolling a healer and having a companion dps/tank for me to heal during levelling ain't a problem either.
 
4 days after getting beta invite and i've still not been able to get into the game.

Defo made my decision up on getting downloaded copy or boxed.

Oh yes didn't think of that. Might not be a problem then. I played GW with a healing monk spec, leaving the killing to my heroes/henchmen. Worked rather well. Can you at least respec your char?
 
Although via my many post about some of the issue with this game, I have also stated the positives, for me as of the last time I played it the downsides were still far out weighing the good sides.

But I have also said this before I would never suggest people not to buy this game, seen as I have pre ordered it myself.
Only thing I have said about buying it, is go for the cheaper option first.

You can always buy the better version later if you happy with game.
Few other things a companion healer is never gonna save u in big fights, there healing is not great.
As to people hating the game best ignored as its a right kiddy phrase 'Hating'

For me one of the main positives, and I guess the reason I still pre-ordered the game, was the flash-points are brilliant, so following on from that so should end game raids be.
I should hopefully bar any work issues be playing the game again with-in the next 2 weeks will see how much its changed.

Especially The social side/guild layout.

yes but the good sith is ranked about the same as a evil republic .. sith evil is far deeper than republic, in most sith conversations the answers are different degrees of evil where its not anything like that in republic
