Just a quick update.....

I missed the first thread kenmare, what course are you on? Good to hear things are going well for you, working all the time + revising must mean you're wasting far less time than I am :)

I need to pull my finger out when it comes to school work and I need to get fitter. I realised I've not really fulfilled my academic potential...

Same here. Lack of willpower is causing me problems, though this thread is very encouraging.

kenmare Good job and congratulations! You are showing others that it can be done, hats off to you and keep it up!
As for getting fitter I'll be honest, I'm bit embarressed about going to the gym, I'm not fat or anything but I'm not exactly muscle man :p.

That is no excuse, everybody in the gym had to start somewhere.
Head over to the Sports Arena for the bodybuilding sticky to get you going and you will realize that getting fitter is not as hard as it sounds. Especially when you first take it up, the results can be very visible and easy to obtain, provided you make a bit of effort.

Nobody will make fun of you, especially if you look serious about your training (no matter what level you are starting from) so there's nothing to worry about mate.

Haha, things are going from bad to worse. Not only have I got a new exam, but on top of this the structure of an existing exam has changed from 30% MCQ to purely essay.

FML. :D

Too much time studying and not enough time playing then eh? ;)

Damn us religious folk......

:p:eek::D

Work load is pretty tough at the moment, compounded by the fact that our university server proxy login to access journals etc is down. Bloody annoying as I'm left scouring the net for pretty light impacting information.

Well crunching point is nearly upon me! Tomorrow's (and the day after) exams determine whether or not I stay at university. If I do I'll be on a 2:1 otherwise I'm out.

Any thoughts or prayers would be welcome at this stage. Absolutely bricking it, not prepared enough (sat up trying to mesmorise stuff :o). Ah well.

Good luck for tomorrow and the next day, remember as well that whatever happens you've proved to yourself that you can put the work in so don't let that slip away.

I used to find that after a certain point there was more benefit in simply going to bed and getting as good a sleep as possible since I wasn't going to remember much more. However a good mate of mine used to do pretty much all his revision the night before and even the morning of the exams so I guess it's up to you to work out what is best for you.

There are so many possible questions. I'm certain one will come up, so providing that it comes up in an easy to answer format I'll be fine with that one. The other question I don't have a clue on what it's on. I'm taking a HUGE gamble and going with just concentrating on one topic, though I can't see to enunciate myself at all and put it down in essay form. Gah. Going to give myself til 10pm and then I'm calling it a night.

Good Luck :)

Thanks mate, it's very much appreciated.

After this I'm going to spend the rest of my summer catching up on what I should have done, and creating PDF's of my topics as well as cachement of journals so people can quickly get up to scratch to save themselves the heartache I'm going through! lol.

Fantastic stuff! It`s great to hear someone recognise things aren't as they want them and then do something positive and empowering about the situation rather than the whining threads we see here all to often.

Nice work fella!

First exam over. Smashed it. Well I smashed the first question (Wrote 7 pages ). Next question was pretty poor so hopefully my first question will carry me through).

Now onto the next exam. :p
