Meanwhile tomorrow.

This is just so stupid, I guess this is what happens when you have a patent for everything.

In fairness, Samsung have copied Apple quite blatantly with some of their phones. Not so much with the tablets though.

Still, all companies sue each other, Apple are just the best at it (and don't forget - cool to hate). :o

But Apple just copied what everyone else had already done...

Here's what will actually happen, almost at the end of the article:

'Though it's easy to add a notch in Apple's win column, the case isn't over yet, Brown noted. "All this talk about preliminary injunctions can get crazy," he said. "The most important thing to remember is that it does not mean Samsung has lost the case. There will still be a full trial—assuming there is no settlement.'

They are not banned EU wide. Only in Norway.

Its just that their distribution centre is in Norway, so they cannot shiop any out without moving it.

They have until October 13 to Appeal/Settle this.

I'll eat my hat if Samsung don't either get this injection lifted before then or pay Apple some money to get this settled.

Obviously not from a legal perspective.

Umm.. Patents such as "multi touch" just seem to hurt innovation and not improve it. I find the idea of patenting an idea stupid, why not just patent the implementation? Anyhow, I can imagine a lot of companies are going to team up against Apple after this especially the companies who use Android.
