Apple has been awarded a preliminary injunction barring Samsung from importing, distributing, or selling its Galaxy S, Galaxy SII, and Ace smartphones in the European Union. Samsung must halt sales of the devices by October 13 in the EU, though its Galaxy Tab devices aren't affected for the time being.

They have until October 13 to Appeal/Settle this.

I'll eat my hat if Samsung don't either get this injection lifted before then or pay Apple some money to get this settled.

Umm.. Patents such as "multi touch" just seem to hurt innovation and not improve it. I find the idea of patenting an idea stupid, why not just patent the implementation? Anyhow, I can imagine a lot of companies are going to team up against Apple after this especially the companies who use Android.
