HP Pre 3 released

Interesting... My guess is it'll be CPW.

PS. I hope someone at HP is seeing all this crazy demand and facepalming themselves for walking away from such a great OS. It deserved better than this kind of moronic treatment. Plonk down over a billion for it, sit on it for a year, release 2 new products and IMMEDIATELY discontinue them? I've seen infants with bigger attention spans, honestly! I hope they sell it off to someone with the power to stay the course.

What will be interesting to know is if anyone purchased a Touchpad full price from CPW and then subsequently received a partial refund after the price dropped. If they did then they should also do it for the Pre3, which is still full price at the moment.

I got pre 3 from box place for £200, after stock had run out last night.
Order now changed to billed, for £200, so they've must have got more stock, but doesn't look like they've reduced price. Making enquiries.

@Clove

No decision has come from HP, but we think it is likely that the Pre 3 will NOT be offered to our sales channel and all the stock is likely to be handled by HP direct as they decide how to move on the stock of both the devices and accessories.

the clever one, timko.
Just spoke to someone, they got "more stock" through orders that did not go through yesterday for one reason or another. That then triggered my order. If they're going to be 120, maybe £200 aint SUCH a bad price really.

JBOD, would you say your Pre 3 is "smoother" than the TouchPad?

Yes I would, smaller rez but a very powerful CPU/GPU in it definitely makes it seem slightly more responsive and smoother. The only time I actually had a problem was when trying to purchase a touchpad during the initial Monday rush and was on the train home, I had about 7 browser cards open and was waving the phone around. All the carded browsers tried to rotate at the same time :D

They should probably turn off auto rotate on a background/carded process. You don't get rotate lock on the menu on the phone (webOS 2.xx vs 3.xx?)
