Would you leave a computer performing a task unattended at an Internet Cafe? I can install a mouse mover so that it won't log off, I can also leave it without any peripherals plugged in. So what would you do?

How would I go about doing that? This comp is running Windows Xp with only the log off button present in Start. It does lock but I can't set a password for it D:

what kind of task? im assuming your paying for the time and not the owner of the cafe?

Of course, what would you make me think I wouldn't do that? I should leave a tenner here for the kind soul that decides to guard it all for me. :D

I'm going to play on TF2 all day and watch it upload on another screen. Need to know that the file has uploaded. I've tried to lock it but the PC has no password set to it and is restricted so that I can't set a password.

No someone could pick it up and walk off with it.

This may be an odd question but have you tried simply asking the owner/person running the shop if there is anything they can do in terms of security? They might have a computer in the backroom that you could use for the purpose which can be locked or something else rather than relying on some rather Heath Robinson bodges.
