sorry to disappoint you guy...but that didnt combo. only the ex upper combos into c.lp. the normal one combos into nothing.

Well, i learnt it from Gootecks, it doesn't need to be ex to work.

True it doesn't register as a combo on the screen combo counter, but it

still works the same, locking them in position for the next follow throughs.

Go see Gootecks' Balrog Tutorials. Surely his word counts for something here ?
 
Are you sure Gootecks didnt say something like, it's a combo ender that leaves you in a good position for followups?
If you have a link to where he says this, then we'll know ;)

I'm sure that it isn't a combo.

Yes. I'm guessing you wanted to throw him after each dash upper.

Jag follows each dash upper with crouching jab. You blocked the 4th 'loop' when you crouch blocked the crouching jab, so that shows that it can be blocked.
Can you think of how absurd it would be for Balrog to loop crouching jab, crouching short, then rush upper repeatedly?? At the cost of no meter.

Note: I think he calls it a loop, rather than a combo.

I might have been blocking high.
 
Generally, only crouching kicks hit low only.
With few exceptions, all crouching punch attacks (normals) can be blocked high or low.

No i could only do 3 non-ex ones, i muffed up the 4th in the loop. You can see that.

The timing was wrong on the 4th one and i stopped. Thinking he would jump.

Note: by the 3rd non-ex loop - it's almost impossible to get a 4th non-ex one - seems 3 is the max,

they can always block the 4th, regardless of timing. The 3rd pushes them just out of reach.
