I don't think they would Bann your Steam account, I've got £1000's worth of games i bought direct from Steam, If they did try Ban my account i wouldn't think twice about taking them to Court.

Just purchased it from getgames. Got email and code but when i try to activate it on steam it says the code is invalid. .

Emailed there support.

8.5MB/s?! Jesus dude. What's your normal connection speed? I've got 5mb/s but Steam maxes out at 275kb/s.

How come you only get 275k if your connection is capable of 5mb? I know Steam can occasionally not take all of your connection speed, but I usually get the full 4.5mb that my line is capable of.

Good luck with that. Others have threatened similar, but their Terms and Conditions are written is such a way that they can basically cut you off for any reason they deem fit without you being able to do a thing about it, legally. Don't have to look far to find people with banned accounts posting their woes on the web.

And you would lose. Valve have the power to ban your account for no reason whatsoever if they feel like it.

On 100mb man, went to like 10MB/s at one point but averaged back down to around 8ish haha.

G2Play have caused problems in the past, with valve disabling some games bought throuh them. I don't think they banned any accounts though - just deleted the affected games. If that happens, you lose the money you've paid.
It's not worth the risk to me for a fiver.

i posted up the cheaper option but yeah i never bought it but that mainly as i'm abit poor at the moment and new games are not on the needed items list, although i did by metro 2033 for 4.50 .

I don't know about accounts being banned for using G2play keys, just about accounts being banned in general, sometimes for events that seemed fairly innocuous.

Don't think there is conclusive eveidence of russian keys getting peoples whole accounts banned.

I think one game in the past, the publishers complained and Steam banned that single game from peoples account ( it might have been activision and modern warfare 2 i think).

They removed the orange box with Russian keys from non Russians accounts at one point.
