Xoom for £349.
What you reckon? Should I wait for the next-gen tablet? (I've never owned a tablet). Or do you think the Xoom is worth it at this price?
If you're spending that sort of money, get a low spec iPad 2 (or if you don't want an iPad, get a Transformer instead).
The Transformer doesn't have the same storage.
You can get a 16GB MicroSD card for £15 though, and that will therefore give the Transformer the same storage.
hmm that's true.
but you could put a 32gb in the Xoom and get up to 64gb.
I think I'm just convincing myself to get a Xoom now.
Ive had the debate with myself of a Tab vs Xoom.
And have come to this conclusion.
Im coming from a iPad 1 3g 64Gb.
Both are lighter.
Both are slimmer.
Both have better specs.
Both have similar battery lives.
The Tab is better looking but is limited and expensive for what it offers.
The Xoom is more of a work horse and a combination of SDCard Slot, USB, HDMI & price means that unless i hate the Xoom when i nip out to view one in a bit, it'll be a no brainer for me.
Interesting option, but I just don't like them.what about the Asus eee pad?
Interesting option, but I just don't like them.![]()
Im sort of in the same mind.the tab doesn't have an expansion slot does it? this makes me hesitant.
also, the fact that a new generation of hardware is imminent makes me think now is definitely not the right time to invest in tablets. i think the current crop will be obsoleted in a really obvious way - chances are by (circa) Ice Cream Sandwich but definitely by April next year.
There are plenty of great 3D games...i still think we're a good few generations away from seeing Android get serious about games beyond 2D casual games
Nothing of AAA quality though. Most of the ones ive seen are a bit 'meh', with a few big titles from the likes of EA thrown in.There are plenty of great 3D games...
