I am fed up of posting these spec check threads but it's a lot of money so I don't want to get it wrong. I want to stay around the £800 mark but I will consider hitting £850.

Thanks,

You have a P67 board with a non k CPU chip. If you want to overclock down the line pop in the i5-2500K instead of the i5-2400.

If you have no interest in overclocking the get yourself a cheaper H67 and save a few bob.

£850 would give you overclocking and a decent cooler on your CPU:

Thank you Robbie.

I did not know about all that. What would you recommend? I want a gaming rig that I aim to upgrade in the future. It makes sense if I get the 2500k board now doesn't it. Save me the hassle later for £25 more.

Mike

EDIT: Also, I can't have that graphics card as it has to have a DisplayPort output.

I don't want to buy a CPU cooler for the time being, but if I decide to overclock I'll buy it then.

Ok this is the revised model:

Ok well, I'm going to buy it. Life's too short and there's too many different possibilities to sit here wondering at what's best.

I'm going to upgrade it in the future anyway.

Mike

would say if you can add it to the budget and find it in stock the asrock extreme4 gen3 may be better as it opens up future upgrade to pci-e 3.0 graphics card(well will need to upgrade to ivy bidge cpu as well) without needing to change motherboards, or if you prefer msi also do a couple g3 versions of ther mb.
if you plan on sli then 800w+ would be better, 750 would on the limit.
