haha, but from what i've seen, apple ALWAYS draw a very similar photo of the iPhone/itouch/ipad when mentioning it. Maybe it was a leak? I thin k i'm just being naive though

I'm not so sure that one is rubbish, Apple don't seem to historically use generic phone graphics in illustrations, especially as the line of text explicitly lists iPhone iPad and iPod touch. Its either a well thought out red herring or real. Either way though it doesn't show us very much.

Going to be watching this very closely.

Although I doubt they will be able to make me part with another £150 to upgrade to whatever the iP5 does eventually turn out to be.

Just found a scratch on my iP4 screen too. Typical.

That Galaxy S2 has a 4,2" Screen with only 800*480 and that looks stunning. Can't see why the resolution should have anything to do with screen size

Resolution doesn't, but they made a big deal about the iPhone 4 having a 'Retina' display which means 300+ PPI.

That limits them to to around 3.85" at the current resolution and any increase would have to be a doubling to 1920x1280 so that the apps can scale properly.

Also, pixel density aside, it's still a standard resolution, there is nothing special about it.

The plus points of the SGS2 screen do not lie in its resolution and pixel density.

Resolution is getting out of hand and is going to be used mainly for marketing and not for our benefit. It's not like the pixels actually stand out on the "standard" resolution on the SGS2, it looks pretty sharp to me, reading is not an issue.

We will soon have 720p on Android devices and I just don't see the point, battery won't last as long and games will run worse. Will most users actually notice the difference on the 4.3" screen? No they won't.

I found it funny that they let someone out with another one again. If it is a 5 its sure to surface at some point but I recon its going to be done so it cant be traced back to the poster.

They can't release a phone of this magnitude without field testing it first, so trusted members of staff have to be out there using them.

What is embarrassing for Apple is that this is the second time they've had their flagship product which they keep under-wraps lost in a bar. I would imagine they all got a stern talking to after the iPhone 4 loss, so I would imagine if this one does actually come to light then heads will roll this time.

Surely after last year they would tell their employees not to take it out when they go out on the **** though?
