A pair of ****s who worship The Beatles far too much and all their songs sound very similar. I also cannot bring myself to buy music (i.e. give my money to) from people who I don't like. Liam 'ASBO' Gallagher is one of those people. Bono is another.

I used to like them when they first came out, though, and I can understand why people do still like them. I didn't know they were commonly disliked here.

None, I love Oasis

I do prefer thier older stuff though, Some of thier newer stuff is a bit poo.

Liam is a nob too but Noel's a decent guy.

The main reason I don't like them is Liam. I've also noticed that, with only one exception (Wonderwall), every single Oasis track I do like has Noel on vocals. I think it mainly has to do with a little thing called talent.

I do believe I never mentioned Brit Pop :confused:

however since Oasis were one of the biggest players at the time they were responsible (along with Blur and other lesser bands) of getting young men to throw down their synths and to pick up guitars.
Between 1985 and 1995 in this country music was at an all time low with only America to turn to for decent guitar based music.

I don't get it. How can personal feelings about somebody influence what you think of their music? You're still hearing the same stuff, surely. I think Jamie Cullum's a lovely bloke but I wouldn't want to listen to his music. Conversely, I can't listen to Chris Martin talk for five seconds without wanting to slap him, but I love his music.

Genius

The smiths,Insprial carpets, The Mondays etc..

Young guys were picking up guitars before Oasis.

In fact the The roses made kids pick up the guitar... Oasis made tools like The Kooks form from inside Dorms in their Private school bunk beds

My older brother enjoyed them growing up, and would sing along terribly, when we used to share a computer room. Same goes for most popular music in the late 90s, early 2000s: I've only just started coming back to the stuff released then since I never really enjoyed it back then.
