I really hope for the rest of us that you aren't in the beta.

Edit: Not you kola :p - no worries, AA will be added. AA regularly gets left out of betas. Very easily added through CCC though.

I just hope they fix the performance issues so many people are having (more worrying considering the AA issues).

I just read last few pages to see whats been going on in this thread recently.

My opinion on the graphics is, when it comes to mmo's I dont really put the graphics in the same category as everything else, simply because I think most of the companies that make mmo's have decided that they cant put amazing graphics in mmo's with amazing physics, animation and high res textures and all the other amazing special effects they do these days in games that blow us away, those games like crysis/deadspace/F1 2010/Bad Company 2/Assasins Creed brotherhood etc etc.

But even though they use a different style of graphics for the mmo genre of games, I always look and compare them to the mmo's I've enjoyed, so for each of us this is an idividual taste...for example I come from 4 years of wow and eve online, so I guess I compare everything to them...the only mmo's where I liked the graphics they provided were rift/wow/eve, I havent liked the graphics of any other mmo, and I've probably tried them all but for me and my experience I prefered wow/eve/rift's style of graphics...I dont even know why, I just do.

So looking at this new star wars mmo I've watched all the videos, looked at loads of sceenshots and the graphics look like my style of graphics that I prefer when I play an mmo, so for me I like the graphics but I can see why others would dislike them...they arent exactly amazing or anything.

And I've seen so many people say "I wish the graphics in-game were like the graphics in the CGI trailers!"...well to that comment I reckon we all would love that but probably wont happen for years. I can see the sort of graphics they use now in mmo's been used for the next 5 years. We probably will get small changes and slight upgrades and higher res textures. But I dont expect wood to brake and fall into water and float like it did in half life 2...do you remember when that game origonally came out? how blown away we was by the physics/animation/textures/graphics everything? it was so awesome...I've played through it again recently and looks rubbish now lol, still love the game though.

Still excited for this mmo, this is the only game I'm really excited for, I will get and play BF3 but I'm just not hardcore into FPS like I used to, and I reckon I'd spend more time on an mmo then any other game genre.

Is it this week that a large number of EU invites are meant to go out?

Would be great to have a larger number of OcUKers testing :)

November still seems like a likely release date, shame it will probably clash with Skyrim :(
 
Does anybody know of any good videos of people playing the Jedi Consular class and videos to show both specializations, Sage and Shadow. I really want to see more footage of this class but there's hardly any videos on youtube.

Also from what I've seen so far the Sith Inquisitor looks better then the Jedi Consular, by that I just mean the look of the class and the spells, the spells look a lot more visually pleasing, a lot more pretty to the eye.

EDIT: I found this really great video for the Sith Inquisitor which explains each specialization within that class, Assassin and Sorcerer
I just need a video like this for the Jedi Consular and then I'll be happy!

There were a lot of Jedi Consular videos on betacake a while back - not sure where they are now.

I personally found the Sith Warrior and Inquisitor much better than the Jedi knight and Consular - both in terms of visuals (powers and armour) and story. Imo they have made the Jedi very wimpy and seemingly squishy with little substance. The Sith on the other hand were an absolute blast to play as. Just my opinion.

Don't rule out non-melee charactersv - the trooper and bounty hunter type classes are surprisingly good.
 
Nice pictures thanks for the upload. Game is looking good and cant wait to get it. Played a few mmos over the years, and been looking at this since the start of the year.

Graphics on this look good and i bet there gonna look amazing when your actually playing. There not ment to be ultra realistic as they want every one possiable to play this.

Role on the end of year if thats when its due out.
