Games that got critical acclaim but you hate?

Has there ever been a game that all of the reviewers say is amazing, or all of your friends wont stop talking about, but once you get your hands on it, you hate it?

Black & White, I could never get into it.
Black Ops, although those reviews were all paid for.
Assassin's Creed 2, so far I just can't get 'into' it. Hoping Brotherhood is better.
Mass Effect, I hate the weapons, but think I'd get it when I eventually go back to it.
Supreme Commander 2, can't bring myself to be bothered about it for some reason.

From the demo anyway, The Witcher 2. For me the characters are daft fantasy cliches and the combat repetitive. For me Dungeon Siege 1 has more going for it. Flame on
