Sat in a Lexus LFA today.

As title, passed the local Lexus garage today, they have an LFA in, so decided to take a look, £353,000 to buy. I asked for a test drive but they said no, they did however start it up! It is a beautiful car in the flesh, loved the interior....

The reason i posted this is because dealers usually keep their top cars behind ropes on a stand, Audi with the R8 for example, Lexus just let you fiddle with it etc. I ordered 2 on finance lol

From a purely engineering standpoint this car is spectacular, but it leaves me cold - the looks are a bit too 'fast and furious' for my liking, lacking the detail or coherent design language of say, an aventador, or the drama of a zonda. It just looks a bit generic to me - a mish mash of 370z, rx-7 with ferrari 599 proportions. The interior is no doubt exquisitely made from good materials but it does not look good to me. And the price! Id have any number of other cars first....heck, you could buy a top spec jag xf and a 911 gt3 for less than this could you not?

Heard about this on Pistonheads. That interior is ****ing ridiculous. It reminds me of a Renault 5. Exterior though, WOW! :eek:

Honestly, it's a lot nicer in the flesh, it looks a bit 'fast and furious' on pictures, but when you see it in the flesh, you realise it just isn't, it's a bit like the VW sciroccoin that it looks different in pictures to in reality (at least imo). I loved the interior too, though there's a lot going on in there with the design, and a lot of switch gear too, i think it'd put you off if you were actually trying to concentrate on diriving! But as an interior person, i'd be happ with it. Not for £353k though.

The LFA gives me the horn and the sound makes me wet myself with excitement. I might be a little biased being a Lexus owner though.

Will - you can't compare this to a Jag XF, the LFA is a super car.

When i first saw the LFA on top gear, that's exactly what i thought, a supra on steroids.
