Last night I was stopped by the police for being drunk

While cycling. I was informed that this was illegal etc.

I was then taken home along with my bike, in two police cars.

Apparently I first refused to give any details to police which is why they called a second car to come.

TBH I don't remember much of the details, as I was indeed a bit intoxicated.

I fell off my bike in my teens when I was drunk and knocked myself out cold. Not sure how long I lay in the road in the dark but I eventually came round and then staggered home. One of my mates found my BMX lying in the road and took it home with him then called me in the morning. I couldn't remember much apart from coming round on the road then getting home. But my head, face and hands were all scraped and cut and I had a banging head for a couple of days. Didn't do that again.

Actually I've done as bad, I've been cycling while under the influence of a massive lack of sleep.

Weaving all over the place for 3 miles with my eyes half shut or closed and occasionally being jolted into a marginally higher state of awareness by adrenaline as automatic self preservation kicked to stabilise the bike every time I nodded off and the bike was about to topple over...
