US Open Tennis, August 29th - September 11th

He needs to put some serious work in to his first and second serves in the off season. They've both let him down all tournament and it just adds unnecessary pressure to his game.

Murray needs to hold serve well in his first game of this set.

Make Nadal realise he has a long way to go.

6 unforced errors in that game and kept up with Nadal. Cut down on that and Nadal's service games are for the taking.

That 3rd set is probably the best set I've ever seen from Murray.

Just goes to show how good you have to be to even take a set out of this man.

Can't believe he lost!

Fed ex just seemed to fall asleep in the 3rd and 4th set. We seen the old Roger in the first two sets... then all of a sudden he went into a shell and played like his recent self :(

He picked it back up in the 5th and unfortunately it looked to me like Djokovic got in his head and he double faulted on his serve to win... it was painful to watch.

P.S. What was Djokovic psycho smile and facial expression all about when he was two match points down!! He shouldn't have been allowed to stroll around getting a towel, hnads up to the crowd etc... I was so hoping for an ace to win.

Unfortunately I can't see him ever winning another slam... it's a shame, but you just need to think about how good is Djok going to be when he's 30? I doubt he'll be half as good as the feds.

Gutted!!!

Nadal to win in final regardless of previous 5-0 record this season. He just looks on top form, plus he had an easy win against the British monkey.

There's not really a lot to say I guess, it appears Murray needs to work pretty hard on his serve as while he scored more aces than Nadal his first serve percentage was 54% according to the BBC compared to 67% for Nadal and that sort of deficit is difficult to overcome especially when you're playing one of the best in the World. A semi final is still a decent achievement given some of his form this year hasn't been great but it does also have to be said the US Open has been pretty poorly managed too, the lack of a roof there has been shown up as an error which won't be fixed for another few years at least.

I'm hoping the final isn't too affected by rain and presents a great spectacle though.

I have to start admiring Nadal, I don't know how he does it. Often appears to be struggling in the early rounds but here he is on yet another hard court slam final :o

We were so close to a Rafa-Fed final on hard court :(
