Counter Strike: Source night!

Or maybe you can leave the group, as we clearly said that its only 1 notification per day until the server starts going strong. If you get annoyed by 1 notification a day, then you are a spoilt ******* and would be better off leaving the STEAM group.

I don't want to leave the Steam group.

And the server must be going strong as we weren't getting notifications since that thread came up. Also you have your CSS group to spam now so leave the main one alone

Make up your mind. Either leave the group if you don't like notifications or exit steam at the times it may interfere with your work/games/porn/whateverelseyouaredoing (if your using steam for your games and some popup in the bottom right of your screen comes up and it annoys you then tough). I did what you wanted and stopped short of my two week daily notification. I'm not stopping alltogether, but have dropped it right down to one a week, sometimes two. The point of a steam group is to play games, if your not in there to do this you can leave as why are you in it anyway?

Why should people have to join multiple groups to keep the odd moaner such as you happy? Don't really see the need and quite frankly I find it pathetic that there are people such as yourself who want to complain about anything under the sun which is not revolving around you.

Finally, if you are going to try bringing people leaving the Steam Group in droves since the events started into this (number of members has hardly changed), as well as this somehow being "Failed" advertisment for OcUK then that is counteracted by a popular game server, which will advertise the company far better then a "dead" steam group ever will.

Not sure what's going on here, but it's Linktoinsanitys server, it's a damn good server and I'm happy to make compromises to avail of such a good service.

Do what you wish link.

Like something from the holy book of gaming or something. Here here!

Before it was a dead server. Nobody used the server, or the group for that matter. And look at the number of people in the OcUK group, and those in the OcUK CS:S group.
Isn't the point of the steam group to arrange games and such?
Yeh :)

Sorry didn't come on yest, even after Link invited me. Still had to cook and eat my noodles, and when I was done, Link went on L4D, so I assumed nobody was on.

Arguing about the notification is getting ridiculous, it's not to be discussed anymore. If you don't like it, you can always leave the group. I have no issue with notifications being used to alert people about these kinds of things.

If you're complaining then ask yourself this - when was the last time you organised an event for your fellow OcUKers?

Rhetorical question, as I said I don't want to see it discussed an further.

actually didn't realize it was linktoinsanity's own personal sever so id like to take a second and say thanks for a great server mate, really sparked my interest in CSS again and its a great group of people to play with so here is to you.

cheers!

I played a few rounds last night, I hadnt played CSS for probably 5 years, forgot how much I loved it, unfortunately had to go out but looking forward to getting back into it with you guys.
