I think its a bit early to illustrate the decline of a company that has produced amazing titles for 15 years.
Why? All it takes is a few failures in a row and EA will can them. The studios mentioned above show they don't care all that much for past reputation if they stop making profits.
I highly doubt EA hasn't made profits from dragon age 2, bioware put out a half decent product in a single year, the notion that EA would can a studio that they have made such large investments in is a ludicrous notion.
I'm not saying it'll happen now but they are far from safe. They probably did make a decent profit yes, but at what cost? How badly did it effect there reputation?
They rushed DA2 and even though they made a profit that profit was based entirely on the success of DA:O and the lack of effort showed everywhere.
ME3 is the end of the series and I'm not convinced it'll live up to itself but even then they have to work on a new IP (unless they figure out how to milk the ME universe).
SWTOR will probably start well as all the sci-fi MMO and star wars jump on it but from there who knows.
Don't know about you but I can't say I'm all that bothered about DA3 and if they don't do that well on the next IP Bioware will just vanish and tend to SWTOR until that stops turning a profit too.
It's very sad that Bioware used to be an auto-buy
ME3 and SWTOR are of no interest to me and they pretty much killed the dragon age universe with DA2 so DA3 will have to be the second coming of Baldurs Gate before I even think of buying it..
Started to notice it with ME:2 & DA:O, and despite i liked both games, something didn't sit right throughout playing both of them.

All they care about is making a romance simulator

f you could tell developers of games to make sure to put one thing in games to appeal to a broader audience which includes women, what would that one thing be?A fast-forward button. Games almost always include a way to "button through" dialogue without paying attention, because they understand that some players don't enjoy listening to dialogue and they don't want to stop their fun. Yet they persist in practically coming into your living room and forcing you to play through the combats even if you're a player who only enjoys the dialogue. In a game with sufficient story to be interesting without the fighting, there is no reason on earth that you can't have a little button at the corner of the screen that you can click to skip to the end of the fighting.
I don't think you can blame EA, it's the bioware devs that all come across as dicks.
