New Honda Civic

Is this just a face lift or is it supposed to be the brand new Civic as to me middle of the car looks exactly the same as the current but all they've done is redone the front bumper and lights and redone the rear. Maybe they taken their cues from the supposed lazy Porsche designers? Although personally, I've never had a problem with anything that Porsche have produced :)

I don't like the plastic trim running along the wheel arches. They're not even black and will just fade and look crap in no time at all given how poorly most people look after their panel work.

Why is the handbrake in the wrong place too? Shouldn't it be next to the driver and not the passenger?

I quite like it but then again apart from the standard front grille I've always liked the FN2.

Is it just the wide angle lens or is all of the centre console on the wonk?

Bulbous rear lights are not nice on those pictures. I guess they should have made there own instead of grafting C-class Coupe lights on!

I think what happened is that the old Civic was too funky for Honda's usual buyer to like, so they've softened the edges so the grannies and grandads will buy it again.

;)

Some better pics, in a different colour.

Looks too much like the insight for my liking. I love the look of the CR-Z but the Civic just looks grim, especially in that pea soup green colour.

I think it looks decent, the problem imo is set a high standard with the current gen with the futuristic look and all thats its a bit difficult to improve upon, mild evolution of the current model.

But what I am looking forward to is that Honda announced they will be working on a new NSX, if theres one car brand that can pull of something surprisingly special it's Honda, I hope they come back to form and bring something special out of the hat, but they probably won't do a v10 like they originally planned with new nsx before it got scrapped.

Problem with the NSX was always it's price. If they could do something GT-R-esque for around the same price point i'd be very impressed.

Erm... Looks like an Insight through a fish-eye lens.

That grey goatee thing beneath the grille is the worst thing about the Insight. They're carrying it across the range?

Prefer the looks to the last Civic tbh - unless we're talking the Type R or Si that had a proper grille. They looked OK.
