It seems a number of people have problems with both the Extreme 4 and 7 with the UEFI. Two issue being reported and I seem to suffer from both.

1. Delay in UEFI start when using some USB mice.
2. Inverted Mouse control in the UEFI.

Asrock don't seem to be responding as it isn't very common although it's been reported for the Extreme 4 for a while and no happening on the 7.

How many here are affected?

Andi.

No issues with my extreme 7, using a logitech Mx Laser. its appears to be a compatibility issues with mice. maybe everyone can list if there having issues or not and what mouse thre using to get some idea and pinpoint the issue maybe? ill start?

Extreme 7
No issues
Logitech Mx Laser wireless mouse

Only seems to be effect certain mice ... seems everyone with a Logitech mouse is getting by ok

Sadly not true I have the issue with a PS2 MX518 (using PS2-USB) and a USB G400.

Andi.

Extreme 7 Gen 3
Logitech G400
Microsoft USB Keyboard.
Both Start up delay and inverted mouse in UEFI.

Not sure if you only want people with issues to post here but thought it may help if people are aware of known combinations that have been tested without such issues.

Logitech MX Revolution with Extreme7. No problems in UEFI.

Please post if you don't have problems. I suppose another question is what USB settings are people using, with or without Legacy USB? and what BIOS, I installed the 1.01 for the Extreme 7 today and it made no difference.

Andi.

All settings are on auto bar the memory setting i enabled XMP Profile 1 to activate the 1866 memory rating. ill check again tomorrow and take screen shot if its any good to anyone?

well I've not put my i2500k build together yet, but I have the extreme7 and logitect g15v2(kb) + g9(mouse, not g9x btw) so hope I don't have issues.

whats legasy usb?

whats legasy usb?

usually enabling legacy usb allows usb items like mice, keyboards etc to function in an enviroment where there normally wouldnt be any support for it like usually in DOS, or operating systems or applications that are old or dont support usb. the Bios loads the necessary support for it to function.

I had to enable legacy USB on my old gigabyte board or else i wouldnt be able to enter the bios or hit any key when loading a fresh install of windows with my logitech bluetooth keyboard.

hope that makes sense lol.

A quick update, Beta BIOS version 1.11 improves the start up time quite a bit but still suffers from inverted mouse syndrome.

Asrock have replied to my tech support question with a BIOS 1.00B this slowed down start up again and still left me with an inverted mouse.

Anyone else anything to report?

Andi.

PS I ran the CPU at 4.8 Ghz for a while quite happily, although I seem to have speed stepping (?) enabled, but when I exited a game after an hour or so it blue screened, it's back at stock now.

I have an Extreme7 with a Razer Mamba. USB settings in BIOS are all default and i'm experiencing the inverted mouse issue. The mouse is plugged into a USB2.0 port but behaves the same way on one of the 3.0 ports.
