Just to add, I don't necessarily agree with the planning laws, they are stupid, arbitrary and unnecessary for the most part, and I fully support attempts to make them clearer, easier and cheaper from the coalition (which ironically would probably help travellers in future with the shift in emphasis).

However, currently plenty of people are evicted or forced to demolish buildings due to planning rules, and we cannot allow one group to get away with the same thing because they stage violent resistance.
 
There will be a load of people armed with cameras and video cameras as filming the Police.

I guarantee there will be cries that the Police were heavy handed.

Absolutely, I witnessed this first hand during the G20 riots. The protesters were goading and confronting the police officers but these scum bags with matted dreadlocks in need of a wash were filming everything the police did constantly warning them they were being filmed.

See some nutcases have 'concreted' themselves in. Really what do they scrotes do for a living? They just turn up to support the gypos for a day while lying on the ground smoking away. Lovely contributors to society. A bit like most activists I guess.

I just saw that on BBC News. Looks like the site has been invaded by eco warriors who obviously must be branching out now there aren't enough new roads to protest about.

Looks like the usual concrete filled oil drum with arm holes in. Normally they have a void inside and use handcuffs so they can remove themselves when they want. These Einsteins look to have filled the holes with expanding foam so they may be stuck there.

If it was my decision I would move the drum off site with them attached then just leave them. Consequences of actions and all that..
 
They have a group of legal observers filming the proceedings, so again they will use the law to their advantage if possible but not abide by the law when it does not suit.

Probably a lack of people to do dodgy driveways for and not able to walk out of restaurants without paying as well.

For anyone thinking there aren't alternatives for these people then you are very much mistaken. Many of these families are very wealthy, they all drive brand new cars/vans with Irish number plates.
 
I really hope it all kicks off and they all get arrested. There's a gypsy site a few miles from me and they're a massive pain in the ****. They race their horses up and down the roads, managed to get a local pub closed down due to their violence, all drive brand new mercedes and bmws, then have the nerve to complain they have no money. They also broke into my car about 10 years ago, and were even bold enough to trailer away my friends car in broad daylight. They're all scum - forget illegal immigrants, gypsies are the ones we should be deporting.

Their travellers innit. Don't seem to do much travelling though, only time I've heard of them moving on is after they've conned the surrounding area out of enough money, and made it such a cess pit it becomes a risk to your health by staying there.
