This. I live in the sticks and our local exchange is not even LLU. We get 4mb which is pretty amazing tbh honext but for 100gb monthly download it costs us £40 per month

Can I get some OCD support to change the title to "100Mb"?
When we got 50Mb we requested the modem and router seperate and got it. The free Dlink wirelessAP is sat in the cupboard in the garage.

Why does Romania have such a high average speed
I really should look at changing again heh.
I rang up VM to ask if switching down from 50mb was cheaper than what I was getting.. and changing the TV package down from L to M I think as I was really trying to save pennies and decided in the end that I really don't need 50mb interwebs.
It worked out more expensive to downgrade per month than to keep what I had so before I hung up, they said "We can offer you XL TV at £5 less on your total bill a month than you're currently paying for 6months" - So I did get my pennies saved aswell as actually getting more services lol. I'd cancelled all my extras, had a multiroom box in for old housemates who used to pay it but I was too lazy to cancel it.. all in all.. managed to get my bill down from 75 to 60 but with more services.
Really wish I'd have said.. nah Sky is better.. to see what else I coulda got, seemed like I had a piñata of a customer rep!

I have severe pity for anyone still on stone age connections.
