This is exactly why the death penalty is a bad thing...

I know what you mean.

I bet the majority of anti-death penalty people in here would soon change their tune if it was their loved one that was murdered.

I'm anti death penalty, however if it was my wife or son who was murdered I would still be against the death penalty.

Why?

Because I don't need the state to enact revenge for me, I can do that myself. I would however feel better if at my trial for hunting down, torturing and killing the assailant of my family they could not pass down that same sentence to me.:p

Only stupid people believe things like that.

...Only stupid people believe in justice? :v

I kid.

I would make a comment about how I disagree with the death penalty and all... but the US has been rolling like that for ages and nothing has changed despite all us righteous folk disagreeing every time something like this comes up. I bet for a lot on death row they just end up accepting they're going to end and that is that. It will ruin those that were close to him, though.

Do you look like Rambo? I bet you do. :p

I wonder how long the delay is for?

Wouldn't suprise me if they planned not to all along. What would make the system/obama seem brilliant more than bringing someone back from the brink.

Make the people angry then give them what they were going to get all along, makes them seem like they won a victory.

Infact it exactly the type of thing that the American government would do. Keeping its people on the edge all the time

I bet this man is not executed.

According to Troy Davis' nephew on LiveStream atm the Supreme Court are currently re-evaluating the case... He's 23 minutes past his allotted execution time at present. Fingers crossed tbh.

The Supreme Court has granted a temporary reprieve #TroyDavis. Waiting...

Should this turn out to be true (and I hope it is), I can only reiterate my post about the torture and mental health implications of repeated exposure to what amounts to mock execution.
