Hey all!

I got into work this morning and had a look at how much holiday I have left - I've already had a holiday with friends so I didn't think I had much - but it turns out I have 5 days still to take (before the end of the year).

This got me thinking about just booking a flight somewhere for a few days or even just a long weekend... As a single (forever alone) 21 year old - I'd probably be doing this solo, and so I was wondering if anyone else here has done this before? Where did you go? How long for? When? And did you enjoy yourself?

amsterdam
despite all the weed, its a really really nice city
been there loads of times, winter and summer, summer in the vondle park is very nice
nice bars to sit outside and people watch, nice food, lots going on and its a very nice place to visit.
Then you have the bonus to get high legally should you wish.
Some of the best times ive had are in Amsterdam and thats without weed and women.

Or

Ive always liked the idea of Helsinki or Berlin

I've still got a load of leave left and don't know what to do with it. :/

Maybe we should set up an OcUK ForeverAlone travel group. :p

Joking aside, travelling alone can be great - no arguments with friends, no need to compromise. Backpacking with 3 mates was a nightmare at times because people wanted to do different things, and for the most part, I wanted to actually go see things rather than get smashed and see ladies of the night... :/

Not going alone, but we have just booked for Tallinn. A shade over £110 for 4 night in a nice 4* hotel including breakfast, flight and insurance going November.
 
Spent a week in Barcelona on my own. Best holiday I've had as it forces you to socialise if you want company. I'd recommend staying in a hostel :)
 
I reckon ya should just go with someone random off OCUK, Why not eh!, nothing to lose!

My travel partner who booked everything (I've not paid yet) pulled out this weekend for a trip tomorrow so I have the week off for nothing!

I have 6 days left too and booked the 1st week of November off but not got plans yet. Was going to Florence but that has fallen through so I am debating what to do.

Thought about Amsterdam but I can't be help when i come back my stupid friends at work will start rumours about what i got up to as a single guy there! I just know it!
 
I've never been on holiday on my own, but I hear it's one of the best things you can do for yourself.

It's meant to really clear your head n junk :)
