Female body builders, just why?

Well, it's amazing in a freakish way. Even if I had the genetics to look like that, which I actually don't know if I do as I'm not willing to roll the dice like Phil does (he doesn't just use, he abuse), I don't actually want to look like that. It's almost clownish in nature. A good, strong muscly built is more preferable to me (no homo)

you may not think this is true, but on the bodybuilding.com forums their is a bodybuilder who regularly makes women cheat on their husbands, fiancees and boyfriends and records them and uploads for all and sends to their partners and uploads all the evidence of it all. he even made one woman have a three way, she wanted him so badly.

I don't know how I missed this post the first time round but you're a funny ******! I think all the lack of interaction with other people who aren't meat heads has skewed you view of.... well everything.

THERE is a bodybuilder....

Yeah but to be amazed by any body building seems ridiculous to me. I'm amazed that humans can cover 100m in <10s, I'm amazed that we have people who's reactions are so highly trained that they can fly fighter jets and drive F1 cars. I'm amazed by people who can compete in enduro competitions.

But lifting weights repeatedly for years on end isn't amazing, it's plain dull.

You compared the finished result to the training...

Having 24" arms, being 295lbs and 5% bodyfat, I'm amazed.

running 100m all day isn't amazing, it's plain dull.

strong logic.

Regulus knows what he's talking about. This is my point if you want to be a bodybuilder, skip the fantastical supplements and latest training fads and all that crap that these internet wannabes spend so much time obsessing over. Anyone who is serious about the sport would simply start on a safe and educated course of anabolic steroids.

Bodybuilders who use steroids are not cheating, the people who don't use them are putting themselves at a handicap. They are either scared, uneducated or hold some negative stereotypes from media exposure. Without them you are just weight training (and sending most of your time and effort to /dev/null).

Legal disclaimer: don't take steroids

You can't just take gear and NOT supplement (or even get your quote of) protein (my mistake back in the day). You simply won't maintain any solid mass. Proper nutrition, as i'm sure most gym rats would agree IS the key to a good, healthy physique. Gear adds size, helps with cuts etc.
I'm not dead set against steroids, each to their own, i just don't think that anyone has an excuse for taking them unless they're competing.
But here are also other reasons for taking them; for me, i was a total hard gainer. 4500kcals/days and still couldn't gain much weight. BF was approx. 10% on a 12st 8lb frame. I used them once, and it honestly seemed to kickstart my metabolism into gaining weight. Never used em again, but learned (and gained) from the experience.

Exactly. I wouldn't ever want to look like that, but at the same time I still think 'wow' when I see it.

Can you just give me the first letter of what you used. I'll know what it is.

Talking about overclocking the whole day is DULL. Dropping £100's on some new CPU which will make ZERO difference to your rig apart from running superPI .00045 seconds faster and spawning a 125 page thread is dull.

Train spotting is dull.
Tennis is dull
Motorsport is dull (racing around a track for hours on end ... *snooze*)

It comes down to what you like doing. I'm sure I'll find most of your hobbies a snooze fest. As you would mine.

Different strokes and all that.

All hardcore 'female' bodybuilders are men anyway. ****ing disgusting to look at, rather look at toned than these hunks of meat.

Google Kim Chizevsky and get ready for some weirdness. Especially the pics where she and Lenda Murray trains together. Grotesque.

See, now Lenda Murray was fine in her day, as was Rachel McLeash (sp?), Corey Everson, Cameo Kneuar (sp?), but then the likes of Bev Francis never did it for me.
May as well wear a strap-on and tell him indoors to bend over!

Another stunnah for the freaks brigade

Says who? The protein companies that sponsor everything to do with bodybuilding?

How did they do it in the 60s then before it became commercialized on such a comical level? Steroids, milk, chicken, and beef.

From what I've learned the whole thing is a fraud. Everything is about protein powder and "genetics" and the latest fad training program from some guru.

It's like a giant pyramid scheme. On the top the bodybuilders are totally steroided up, they get paid by the protein companies, and of course say whatever they are told to get the teenagers and plebs to buy the protein and stuff in the hopes of getting big like that. It's essentially built on a giant lie.

"If you just do these many reps and buy this protein and my barely legal super pro-hormone bullcrap pills and train hard enough you can look just like me!"

They must be lolling all the way to the bank.

Kwerk...dude, lol you spout all that garbage and then say "from what i've learned" on top of that you don't really train do you?
Bodybuilders have to be experts in what they do to acheive maximum results. Steroids WILL NOT do it all for them.
So....its clear we've established you aint an expert, so why spout off so much? This clearly is not a subject you are well informed on.
There are as you note a gazillion companies selling protein. You really think it's ALL a lie?
Some do profit from the hard work of other companies proper and ethical research. Some may add fillers to their supplements. But the right ones do work.
Find me a natural bodybuilder that says otherwise? Most are not sponsored, and would probably welcome the news that they don't work so they could save some money.
But they do work.....continue to dispute that and you'll end up looking a complete fool matey.
