October 12th via iTunes. Once it's on iOS 5 any future updates can be done over-the-air without having to plug the phone in to your computer.
 
My GM torrent completed over night, and 10.5 b9 for Mac too. Something to look forward to when I get in.

So if I understand the posts correctly, installed B9. Take a full backup of the iOS 4 phone, restore iOS 5, restore backup = happy days and apps/settings etc.. restored too?

Same, and Beta 7 won't even run for me, think I'll have to back up my library and that xml file in case I have to wipe iTunes and reinstall it.

Either that and wait for the public release or beta 9 and see if that solves it.
 
You need to find a program to open the .DMG file and the .IPSW will be inside.

I think PowerISO will do it.
 
Installed on the IP4 and iPad 2 last night, both running perfectly and no issues with loosing any app data etc.

Haven't had much chance to play around, but all the usual things are working as normal, and neither device feel in any way slower. The proper tabs in Safari on the iPad are very nice.
