********** The all new "Official" iPhone 4S thread - Keep all the iPhone 4S stuff in here **********

just wish they would hurry up and release their prices - im on a sim only since my contract ended and been waiting for this
looking at some other providers though are some very tempting offers if o2 dont compete!

Hmm, presuming the 4S pricing is the same as the 16GB 4 stands on O2 right now, it would cost me £190 to buy out the rest of my contract, £120 from Mazuma for this 3GS = £70 buy out. 16GB 4S on £37/month contract = £140 up front.

So all in all a £210 upgrade to a 16GB 4S from an 8GB 3GS. Very tempting. And don't give me that guff about being cheaper on a SIM only deal + outright handset purchase, it works out £13 cheaper over 2 years and I have no issue keeping a phone for 24 months.

Yea, I could consider another provider, I'm really only with O2 out of convenience. I'm looking at moving house soon though so I'll have to see what the reception is like for each provider. At my current house, I can only get Orange signal (shame considering I'm on O2)

Hmmm sold out quickly once again. Wonder what eBay prices will be next week? I may sell mine if like the 4 and they reach 800+

What are people getting for their iP4 32Gb? I wanna skip the launch model for now unless people are finding it only a small upgrae cost?

For me it seems to be £400 to move to the iP4S 64Gb - not sure if Im tempted...

ps3ud0

Sold mine on eBay for £400 last night.

I have decided I might try 3hree sim only a go in my iphone when it arrives from Apple because it's only £15/month for 300 mins, 3000 text and 1GB data, it's also only a one month contract so if I don't find the coverage great I can drop them and go elsewhere.

Well I wasn't going to bother upgrading from my 32Gb 4, but the more I look at it, the more tempting it becomes.

I don't really need the extra space of the 64Gb model as I've still got ~5Gb of free space on my current phone & iPad unless I put some TV/Movies on for travel viewing. But the improved camera alone is a strong draw for me, the larger aperture and backside illuminated sensor would hopefully provide a genuinely useful camera for when I don't have the DSLR on me. Siri is also very appealing, I'll admit I don't necessarily 'need' it, but I'd certainly make much use of it as long as it works as well as claimed.

As I still have a year left on my current contract I'll have to buy sim free, so with the £600 price tag in mind I'm going to wait until you guys buying at launch give some user feedback on the camera, Siri and other general improvements before I make a definate decision.

When i spoke to them earlier they said they were not going to be taking pre-orders. Mistake if you ask me.
It's a good gamble. When the other network turn around and say they're out of phones until Nov, O2 can say we have ALL our stock first come first serve. Even if their tariffs are worse, people will flock.

Ta for that

Wished I trusted eBay to sell stuff - losing money for peace of mind from no comebacks is a small price to pay. Guess £400 after fees is more like £350...

ps3ud0

Actually, it was £386 after fees and PayPal :)

Finally managed to cancel my extra 3 orders by calling 0845 600 1683 and asking for customer support if anyone else has the same issue.

They only reserve the money and dont actually take it until they are despatched.

Apple store is saying 1 - 2 weeks now.

That is looking like the best deal, from what I can see.

I think they have a 30 day cooling off period, so you could actually go for the 12 month option (£10) and cancel after the first month, if you have a crap signal.
