Sold my old P2 chaps and now OCUK have the 1100T on TWO so if I sell Deus Ex Im looking at £125 for that chip...

Is it worth forgetting bulldozer for now and maybe just ticking along with this for a year or so while they sort it out? Or wait and order a bulldozer and have a play? Despite the fact that it looks like clock for clock in Win 7 I could be paying more for less!?

Arghhhh what to do!?

Thanks in advance lads

Save your money, get the X6.

Then either wait for Piledriver and pray its a damn good refresh, or go Ivy Bridge when it comes out instead.

Though I'd get the 1090T instead and save more money, they are essentially the same CPU.

Pray it's on AM3+ Too

Stucked with the AM3+ board I would say grabbing the the 1090T and just clock it to 4.2GHz, since it matches the gaming performance of the FX8150 at 4.8GHz in games like Arma II, consume less power and faster on individual core's performance.

I have the 1100T at 4.20GHZ and it flys through everything, great cpu, cant recommend it enough :)

You know what's funny? After seeing the performance of Intel CPU like 2500K, I always consider that Phenom II CPUs are miles behind. But after looking at the benchs for the Bulldozer, the Phenom II CPUs suddenly look like very good performing CPUs (lols), despite it is still slower than SandyBridge by a huge margin.

Cheers for the replies lads, seems a crying shame to go x6 but does seem highly logical.

This means I have basically gone for 990fx for the benefits of SLI lol

Think ive been patriotic enough spending £200 on a Mobo ;)

1100T is calling I think, its only a tenner more than 1090 and is basically the P2 farewell..

I bougth my new desktop a month ago and starting from today i,m happy that i have the 1100t for the next 10 -11 months.go with this one or the 1090 . My next. Onfig will be for sure intel as amd failed miserably.

by the looks of failure bulldozer i would go 1090 or 1100 great chips , that if u already have motherboard i assume u do so thats best upgrade path for you.

if you dont have motherboard and need to buy it then i5 2500k .

Quite excited now! Coming up from a dual core should be good whatever! Hopefully can get 4ghz at least from it..

Should do 4GHz no fuss. My 1100T does 3.7 on stock volts, and 3.8GHz on 1.375V, which is nothing.

I haven't bothered to take it higher yet as it's fast enough as is, and I'm on mATX so only 4 phase power.

On a proper full ATX board you should hit 4GHz+ no fuss. :)

I have my 1100 at 3.9 ghz and its more than enough.temps are 30 idle 40 when gaming on ultra settings in wow with a h60 cooler push pull config.i wouldnt bother for buldozer.

OK its arrived, running sweetly @ 4ghz with 1.44v

NB tuned up to 2600, Ill run some benches now, seems like a lovely chip and a nice update from my 555...

Will certainly tidy me over to piledriver.. If thats worth buying!

Thanks again for the advice chaps.
