Its that joke...when do u know if an MP is not telling the truth...he opens his mouth.

So what he's really saying is:
"Yes I'm aware I've misbehaved, broken the minesterial code and lied to try and protect my job. But no, I haven't got the decency to remove my snout from the gravy trough that is an MP's salary/expenses."
And MP's wonder why the irate populace of the capital city riot?
Well that should be up to the voters in his constituency. They did talk about giving people the ability to call a referendum/reelection in situations like this, but it hasn't happened yet.
Er cos if I did the things he did in my job, i'd get sacked?
Cant stand the bloke. He has one of the safest electory seats in the country and after 19 years he's finally been found out for the liar and obnoxious odious so and so he is. He should have gone during the expense scandal.
Sorry, but he doesn't represent me, and I did my best to stop him at the last election.
Well quite often they leave politics altogether when their ministerial career has been killed off. I'd say Liam Fox can never again be a government or shadow minister so there might be some hope. Then again these sort of people sometimes don't always realise it's game over and cling on. The bad news is that they often end up on the boards of companies, so he might become your boss

It's a shame that he was forced out, he was a good defence secretary and was making wise (albeit unpopular) shakeups at the MOD...

A shame, there is a lot more to this than he let his mate sit in on meetings!
I find it slightly funny that the BBC implied that someone with ties to a private intelligence company and two lobbyist groups supporting Israel and Washington DC is not at all surprising nor of worry, especially when hes a close pal of the defense secretary.
Then Fox resigns, as if to say, stop looking at me, him and what may or may not be going on behind closed doors.
Im not a conspiracy theorist, but its far to difficult to disregard the implications here, we all know the US and UK sell weapons to wonderful people, as well as Israel, it would be a very long stretch to say its not some how connected in a naughty way.
Not that i care to much, the war economy keeps my interest in technology coming out of it wet with joy, but i cant help but think someday this will all end up turning into a terribly sad, embarrassing and completely foreseeable problem...
Especially since it seems the world wont be stable for much longer.

we mainly contribute with each other on drone technology to be honest, the isreali's have a perfectly capable defense sector well geared to keeping the country armed.
the links you suggest are not really as strong as you are hinting. isreal are a tiny fraction of our export market and "links to pro american lobbyists" in the defense sector amounts to links with "most of the market". its kind of hard to be in the business without such links. i'll wager a fair amount he also had european contacts as well
its as if having links with the biggest defence markets is seen as underhand and full of ulterior motive when in reality its how business in all sectors is done. making contacts, establishing relationships and lobbying your product whatever it is.will be interesting to see what cameron does, fox was a link to the past for some of the tories and he was a good stable experienced man in the department as you say.

Mostly funded by the US's aid, basically just a front line nation, spreading democracy through bombing runs and phosphorous.
As i said, the region sucks, i couldn't give a damn for either Israel or the Muslim/Arab world around them, both are just as bad as each other and by that i mainly mean the leaders (Zionists and the religious/military leaders of the neighbors).
