Huge audio or bulldozer

just because it's working now doesn't mean It'll keep working, you need to take more time to be able to tell if it was a success, I tried to reflow my old xbox, and at first it worked, until I played on it far a little while

as for this my motherboard doesnt hit 90oc like an xbox, and did you use flux? :L

yeah i would, but i dont realy want to be spending all to much on a sealed sub as it would cost over £100 rather than £60, so ima risk it with the" ones also partly because there local and include 2 amps

dont make excuses

it's the BGA's that cause the problems for the xbox. I'd love to see you try and use flux on a ball grid arrray ;)

was looking at that or a edge one before the 2 6" ones, but after the psu and wiring its going to end costing around £110, and talking of cheap chineese rubbish, anyone hear heard of onyx?
as for the box why is having an un-ported box better than a ported box?

http://www.diysubwoofers.org/sbc/sbc5.htm

The box you are looking at isnt just ported, its a bandpass box and I've already explained why that is bad. sealed subs are the easiest to integrate in a system. a bandpass box designed for a car is just about the hardest. it will sound ****, i promise you.

I just used a hairdrier on it :p don't really care if I did it wrong, as it was my first time reflowing anything :p but my point still stands...

doesnt stand as well as it did before as i used a proper heat gun, and flux (just didnt heat it for long enough) and xbox 360's are built out of very poor quality solder
as for the bandpass box i see what you mean but that page you linked also sugests a bandpass with 5.25" or 6" subs is good for a second setup or multimedia, but ill have a good think about it, im still swayying towards bandpass as its cheaper local and my friend had a bandpass box witch had no quality problems (running in his bedroom)

the only thing that I really know about car speakers, is that if you put sound dampening foam behind the speakers, it improves sound :p that may only work in cars though :p

i dont think it applies to just cars, otherwise my old surround sound amp wouldnt of been filled with the stuff

also size isn't everything, as the corsair speakers use small monitors, I think they're called?, and they're supposed to be amazing

I knew you'd pick up on that and ignore what ive told you twice already. the box you looked at is designed for use in a car. That site explains typical designs you might choose if building your own. Key difference there - designing and building vs using one that isn't designed for the application you would use it for.

they you must both have cloth in your ears!

In the long term you could have been happily using a gleaming superfast gaming power house with all the time and money expended.

Your Asus motherboard is crapping out on the NB? Anything to do with you removing the heatsink (before you even used the board) and replacing it upside down? CBA to link

nope, it can run both way with no shorts :L

You have obvious... talents with electrical items. Your NB running massively hot has nothing to do with you taking the heatsink off and replacing it upside down (the orientation is wholly unimportant). Of course not

I have an Asus AM3 board with a very similar, unmolested, northbridge heatsink and you know what, it's a 28c right now

Christ on a bike, were you dropped on your head as a child?

Take the advice that is being given rather than being a petulant child insisting against proven experience that you aren't clueless.
