How long do you put socks in the microwave for?

Our washing machine has broken down, did a hand wash of my socks but they take ages to dry. Cba to go to laundrette. I need them dry by tomorrow, so how long would you say is safe in a 800w microwave to dry them?

Alternatively I guess you could go down the low oven option, but I'd be more worried about fire then.

Squeeze the water out, then hang them up... I've always been able to hang clothes up to dry overnight :s.

It's 17.30. That's at least 14 hours if you don't get dressed until 7.30 in the morning. A pair of socks shouldn't take long to dry. Put them in the airing cupboard.

Use your head, put the sock round a hair dryer and turn it on and watch the water steam out. Alternate between hot and cold to stop it catching fire

It'll be dry in 5min

I usually boil up the kettle and use the hot water from that to dry them.
