So I was having a look through my order history with OCUK and thought it was funny how expensive some of the bits I have ordered were. Thought it would be cool to see what other peoples first purchase was, when they bought it and how much it cost.

Mine:

I remember buying that in a panic when my cheap generic one died running a 6800gt :p it's still running to this day in my dads PC

It was about 2002 when I first ordered something. I drove there as back then I was impatient. Could have been my black widow case, though it seems that could have been a few years later.

Boogie Bug pad XL a few years ago.

Was a tester item to see how the service was, been coming back since. The pad's still going strong and I have a spare from the recent deal as well :D

I remembering ordering it, I think in 2004 - Coolermaster CM201 'Black Widow' ATX Case :)

Still got it. Epic case  Paid about £90 ish for it.

Yeah I'm pretty sure 1999-2000 was when I placed my first order - probably for a citrix processor, or athlon x2 or something like that. Or possible a CDRom drive... Something basic.

I think mine was an old AMD Duron [Spitfire]. Long since gone to silicon heaven.

Though I do remember even before that, contacting Spie and asking if they'd look at stocking some modified GlobalWin 802 cases, as at the time such things were only available from a couple of guys in the US.

"No, there'll not be any market for it" came the surprising reply.

Not long after: "Overclockers are proud to announce our 'Tornado' range of modified GlobalWin 802 cases!" :D
