Yup looks like hes dead, NATO bombers took out his car as he was moving form Sirte to another stronghold and he died of his injuries. Guess NATO realised the rebels weren't gonna win the civil war this year and they had better step up their assistance lol.

It's not just about who buys it but how it's sold, the pattern is all of the countries that switched to selling oil in Euros have been 'liberated' by the US and co and swiftly went back to selling in US Dollars. Look up the petrodollar cycle.

LOL what? Nobody has made the move to selling in euro and then been liberated by the US let alone then switched back

It looks a bit like him but pretty bad image.

Rumours circulating he was killed playing the BF3 Beta! .....sorry couldn't resist

Er, actually dude Iraq switched to the Euro for their oil transactions in 2000, after the US lead invasion in 2003 they went back to the dollar.

Really? Even if that is true its a whole 1 country.

Oh yeah, im not saying he's right or anything just pointing that out, they swapped from dollar to Euro in 2000 to dodge US sanctions (and give Washington the finger)

Cheap oil and gas from now on, just what Cameron needed.

It won't be though will it, BP will sell Libyan oil on the open market. A few executives at BP will get very rich thanks to the war we paid for, and likely Cameron will get a spot on the board when he retires, but the price of oil will only be a tiny bit cheaper.

Go away.

I probably shouldn't publicly post what I know, but lets just say that BP had paid Gaddafi a good few quid but not been getting much for the last 8 months since all this kicked off. It would have been far better for BP if the Libyan Civil War hadn't happen and they simply had their contracts with Gaddafi as planned.

That is public knowledge!
