Steve Jobs vowed on the demise of android!

He certainly takes it personally lol it makes full sense to why apple wont sue google directley due a lot of issues arising expecially with eric schmidt being on the board for apple for years. :rolleyes:
 
Apple had no reason not to know that Google had purchased Android in 2005, and then announced they were going to release it as an OS in 2007, it was 2 years later before Schmidt left the board (not sure if by his own will or not)
 
May as well lock the thread now, it's only going to go in one direction like all Apple related threads outside of the Apple section of the forums.
 
meh apple are so 1990s, he talks about stolen products yet jobs was happy to include features made first by the jailbreak community and then happy to steal features available on andriod since day1.

google maps still on ios isnt it?what a joker he was....perhaps now apple will have a little real world sense.

And if anything, android is getting A LOT more popular everyday and I imagine even more so due to what google have done with android now and ICS.

Couldn't stop laughing at this line, well TBH I couldn't stop laughing at any of that stuff there :D:

I don't like mud slinging at the dead.

This is just a publicity stunt for the book.

I bought an apple for the 3rd party hardware.

Show me a music dock where I can play my android phone or attach my galaxy tab to?

3rd party sleeves and docks, chargers and connector cables are easy to find. This is why I bought an ipod touch, it's not the best but I can buy a Logitech set of speakers for it so i'm happy :D
 
The more i read about hate for rival companies saddens me.

It's obvious the man was quite a legend within Apple and beyond but statements like this i keep reading makes it seem like an unhealthy obsession.

I'm surpised Ford are not sueing General Motors, after all, they both seem to make products with the same look and feel including copying key features like 4 wheels and a steering wheel. And seats.

It's inevitable that smartphones will look similar.
 
About the only thing that native Android rips off iOS is the fact that it's a touch-friendly operating system. Jobs was just narked that someone dared to compete (and succeed).
