White Britons: Minority Status

I don't know. I know the population growth rate. But i don't know the urbanisation growth rate, and I also need to know the possible density/change in density of those areas, then I might give you an estimation. Basically I need to find the relationship between the rate of change in urbanisation per each change in population but it's not quite that simple because the density is changing to.

But not for awhile. But as someone who works with numbers, I can tell you we are not going to suddenly jump from below 10% to 90% percent in a hundread years.

We might have food problem and energy problems, but space ain't one.

Space is one, every single housing project in my area always comes down to "not in my back yard" people that already have a house for some reason don't want other people to own a house, mainly younger generation.

Yeah, I know this is what i said earlier. We have plenty of space, most of uk still is country side. But no one will let anyone build. It's a artificial lack of supply, a lot of rich people protecting their pretty views basically =P

The UK has plenty of countryside but the south of England has hardly any left. The quaint England of old has been destroyed by over population partly caused by immigration policies.

After all the South of England is the only place in the UK that matters.

More garbage from the New Labourite.

You think 'rich' people don't want to sell their land at the top of a property bubble? You are seemingly ingorant of how indebted our farmers are to these parasite banks. There is more to utilising land than just the land cost - you have to think about transport, labour force etc - in this, the government has to provide incentives.

Well, no.

Look on google maps, south of England is still mostly country side.

No, I am conservative in this matter. This why I want less regulation in this area, like the conservatives want. They understand this matter.

Labour had the policy of trying to protect a lot of things using planning regulation.

I'm basically thatcher(But without the section 28 bit), not labour.

What a load of absolute drivel. Next time you fly back from Europe over Kent, have a look down if you can. The British countryside is unmatched in beauty to that of our Europeam counterparts.

I find it so amusing how immigration is the root of all evil, vast majority of the people I know that whine about it like to use it as a cop-out for their lack of achievement in life.

So much easier to blame others than to acknowledge that some immigrants are smarter and more talented than you and that is why they got the job.

(notice I said some, not all before the flames start)

*gets popcorn*

Join in, its fun.

Some people simply don't want to live in ever expanding conurbations. There are plenty of empty homes, brown field sites and room for urban renewal and suitable sites for building without encroaching on green field or conservation areas.

A lot rests on cost, political will, low cost housing subsidies and design, not to mention mortgage costs, wage suppression especially in rural areas alongside rural enterprise incentives and basically building where the people are, instead of building to maximise profit and for a limited and affluent demographic.

The biggest issue is the lack of social rental housing and the money, will and incentives to build it, especially local authorities who are best placed to know where and who to target such schemes.

There is certainly not some conspiracy against younger home buyers or those who need housing.
