Clans Bf3

Going to join a clan for bf3.can anyone recommend one .?

Back in the black hawk down days (about 6 years ago) I ran a clan called UKA Elite, tags were just UKA. Now we only took on people that we saw play and they played well, also you had to be a decent person to chat to. Now I have a wife and kids and I much prefer to play lone wolf, I have no time for clans, would not join one even if I did have time.

How does it work in this day and age? You just ask to join and you get added? We used to have lots of little tests on that BHD game

yepp thats pretty much it.
today, especially on call of duries.
its all about "i can quickscope init", or shall i say "i can shoot around the place like a f@nny, missing 98% of my shots because im not looking through the scope of my sniper sniper like it was made for"

or

"i can jump off a really tall building, spin around 360 degrees then quickscope you, then fall and die myself", which imo, what is the point, you gain a kill, but also a death, pointless....

thats pretty much all that needs to be done to be "accepted" into a clan.

ok, im not bias here, because i myself am in a clan. But its a worldwide, common clan, Any person that call themselves a true cod fan would have heard of us. QSM - Quickscope masters.

And yes i like to quickscope, and im good at it. i dont spend 10 shots trying to hit someone that is standing still. ive practiced and im good.

We're a bunch of laid back adults who have real lives outside of gaming.

We know that wives, girlfriends, lovers, children, pets, work & real life gets in the way of gaming so we try to make the time we have the best we can.
How? by having a bloody good laugh.

We're all adults, 99% are over 25 and spread all over the UK & Europe.

We don't have time to play competitively & have a nice relaxed view when it comes to shooting the **** out of each other.

64 player server up at launch for BF3 with 512 slots of TeamSpeak 3 to use as well.

so you pointed out a large part of whats wrong with gaming today - and then go on to say that you also indulge in such nonsense and how you are so awsums at it...

attitudes like yours make me miss the good old days of bunny hopping/insta-gibbing shooters; where lead prediction and quick-route finding made good players.

i was stating the fact that you get people that sit there mucking around, firing 10 shots trying to get someone and completely miss, because they want to do it the "cool" wayyy..
If someone cant quickscope or whatever, then just get on with the game.

Like i said, yes i quickscope, and im very good at it. But you wouldnt see me doing silly 360 spins from rooftops then killing myself. Or going in a lobby just you and a friend boosting ranks.
Thats pretty much all it is these days..

Im not trawling through this section then a thread to find it because there will be clans playing. Perhaps not competatively but clans will be playing. We certainly are.

I'm joking, the Battlefield:3 clan post in this section is a clan called TFU advertising for members, it's on the second page i think.

) also just seen an encouraging post about server admin commands which may actually make this more playable competatively

I also would love to join a clan but think I need to get some decent practice in first as I am quite new to the MP scene.....I dont fancy looking stupid (more than the wife makes me look that is) lol

I'm in the same position (luckily not as far as the wife is concerned). Want some decent team-play but am probably not good enough or experienced to do the clan thing.

I loved the beta conquest mode. I can see the benefit of a clan though....more organised has to help.

Don't worry about your skill level. If people are that pretentious that they think you're crap then they're not the people for you.

At the end of the day it's how you enjoy your gaming, not your skill level that dictates your enjoyment of a game.

I'm sure even in our own server I'll get the usual "Learn 2 fly dude" comments after I crash the plane for the 3rd time in a row

BF3 is the first pc game I'm going to be playing a lot in years. Last time I played a game on PC non stop was CSS back in 2005. I don't know anyone who plays pc games (they all use xbox) so I'm wondering, how do I find a clan and such...

lol I hear that....Just out of curiosity, is there anywhere I can get the instructions for the game? I could do all except the plane. I Just kept going vertical then dropping back to earth.
