Can a mod please amend the title to:

***Spec me a Men's "Scent" for around £50-£90

Updated reuirements!

Right.... bit of a unusual one this but due to administrative errors in my favor I've got £50 on a prepaid card to blow +/- whatever else i add to it and I need some new pasty hunting man musk!!

I'm willing to add an extra bit to the cause but i truly have no idea other than the usual slap I use and that which I put on for work.

The requirements:
  • I need something for special occasions and pasty hunting.
  • It needs to have the ladies saying "Mmm you smell nice!"
  • Something that keeps away the Ginsters but reels in the buxom 100% traditional Cornishes of the pasty world!
  • Nothing overly citrus smelling as i don't want to smell like a toilet duck but im not against citrus notes!
  • Priced around up to £90 MAX
  • Suitable for a 26 yr old man

As you've probably guessed I've added a bit of humor to the request to meet usual OCUK tendencies but the thread is serious!

Please list scent and price, key features of the scent and if possible a link!!!

Is that a good thing??? I'm not fussed if anyone else uses it... The name suggests number 43 Manderin duck with orange

I have never seen it in the UK. We found it on holiday, and my GF ordered me some from abroad. Its a solid masculine scent, but without the perfumey ponse you can get in some, and a little bit of an orange tinge.

I was hoping for something less 1901 barbershop to be honest lol but cheers

I'm not going to 'sperg out here but Trumper produce some of the finest fragrances in the world. Dismissing them as 'just' a barbershop is a huge oversight.

If you want to smell like everyone else does then go to your nearest department store and buy a generic scent.

If you want to stand out a bit then here could be a place to educate yourself and get some ideas

You just need some Hai Karate.

Shame they stopped making it, the Cat they got it from died apparently.

Well i am the uneducated masses when it comes to this subject so please pardon my ignorance lol.

Initial looks around their website did suggest ye olde barbershop and 1/2 bottles of fragerence was a bit off putting and suggested the "bargin bucket" cologne.

However I am willing to accept i may be wrong!

You are wrong (:D) but I've just looked at their website again and they've changed it since I last looked. I see where you're coming from : it looks a little bit dated. Their fragrances are held in very high regard by those who know about these things (I don't, I just like their colognes) so I'd really recommend buying their sampler range if they still do it. It used to be about 3 or 4 quid and they'd send you a brochure and 6 mini fragrance testers.

Seriously, Badger and Blade have some amazing advice if you're inclined to do some research for other brands.

Are you comfortable with citrus notes? They tend to diminish quickly so aren't an all-dayer. Not sure what you're after, though, so this might be perfect.

I'm fine with Citrus as long as i don't smell like a lemon toilet duck lol

Issey Miyake makes a number of fragrances. One or two are great, the rest are terrible.

Get testers and see what you like :)
