Ive listened to the album the other day,and im not that impressed,a few decent tracks thats all, hope the rest will grow on me. Im a huge Coldplay fan,but i dont think this is anywhere near as good as there last 3 albums.

X&Y will never be beaten,a superb record one of my favourite albums of all time.

I do hope Mylo Xyloto will sound better after more plays.

Reminded and pre-ordered. Looking forward to it; been listening to a lot of Coldplay recently when I want to chill out.

I like Coldplay, so I'll have a listen to those. Personally, I think Parachutes and RoBttH are much better albums than X&Y and Viva la Vida. Wasn't overly impressed with the latter.

First impressions:

01 Mylo Xyloto - Very short intro, maybe set to be something more much like 'Life in Technicolour Part 1'
02 Hurts Like Heaven - Pretty catchy, quite like this one.
03 Paradise - Quite catchy as well though a bit on the repetitive side.
04 Charlie Brown - Favourite song so far, really like this.
05 Us Against The World - This wouldn't sound too out of place on 'Parachutes' or 'Rush of Blood to the Head' and provides some contrast to the more technicolour tracks. Possibly expect to see this in weepy dramas during emotional scenes.
06 M.M.I.X. - This is just noise, provides a lead in to 'Every Teardrop is a Waterfall'.
07 Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall - We've probably all heard this one at this stage :p
08 Major Minus - Originally didn't like this but it has definitely grown on me.
09 U.F.O. - Nice little relaxing track
10 Princess Of China - I don't like this one at all, not sure if it's Rebecca's involvement or that the music tends to blur too much together resulting in pretty much white noise.
11 Up In Flames - Another back to basics track though a little on the bland side.
12 A Hopeful Transmission - Another short track leading into track 13.
13 Don’t Let It Break Your Heart - Not sure what to make of this.
14 Up With The Birds - I don't like the first half of this but I do the second.

Some great sounding tracks, and some rubbish ones, here though it's certainly no "A Rush of Blood to the Head", more on a par with 'Viva la Vida or Death and all His Friends' which is no bad thing.

Ugh, sounds like something my mom might play at a dinner party. That is to say, more of the same old boring coldplay ****.

Well, your trolling aside, it does and doesn't sound like the same old coldplay as their style changes with each new album, this one is no different (although different at the same time).

Also, if you hate coldplay, why bother coming in here in the first place.
